Refined Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil, also referred to as its botanical name Olea europaea, is an organic certified versatile ingredient cold-pressed extracted from the first pressing of the olive. The oil is organically refined to remove its characteristic flavor profile and color. The appearance ranges from a greenish yellow to a light clear oil depending on the timing of the harvest and beginning raw material. Natural variation will occur depending on the variety of olive and region the olives are sourced from. Extra virgin olive oil is characterized by a high level of Oleic acid and has become a universal ingredient throughout the culinary, personal care, and cosmetic industries.
