Virgin Organic Neem Oil is cold-pressed extracted from the seeds of the neem tree, Azadirachta indica. As an unrefined oil, its appearance can range from golden yellow to dark green or brown due to natural variation with the starting raw material. Neem oil yields a bitter flavor profile and a pungent aroma, primarily used throughout the agricultural industry in organic farming techniques and applications. It provides farmers with a natural and environmentally friendly alternative as an insecticide in various pest management systems. Organic neem oil is favored as a natural pesticide due to its high content of azadirachtin, a limonoid of the triterpenoid class, which acts as an antifeedant, an insect growth regulator, and disrupts mating in insects. It is biodegradable and practically non-toxic to birds, mammals, plants, bees, and other pollinators. In addition to industrial applications, neem oil may be used in cosmetic formulations, soap-making, and personal care manufacturing. Neem oil is not intended for consumption.
