The ALA content of perilla seed oil typically ranges from 50-60% concentration, an exceptionally high content compared to many other vegetable carrier oils. After extraction, the oil is fully refined and exhibits a clear light yellow appearance with a bland aroma and flavor profile. Due to its naturally high content of alpha-linolenic acid, perilla seed oil is sought after for nutritional and dietary supplements as it may help reduce various health risks and promote overall human health.
